Trusty apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says there will be an under-display Touch-ID sensor on some 2022 iPhone models.
With an investor note, Kuo says that, apple is planning to release 4 iPhone models in the 2022 iPhone lineup. According to Kuo this year will be the last year to feature a 5.4-inch “Mini” sized iPhone model. From 2022 and on iPhone will only have a 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes, with two high-end and two low-end models of each size.
This new 6.7-inch lower-end iPhone model will cost around $ 900 or less, and will also have fewer features than the higher-end model, as the lower-end model will likely not feature an under-display Touch ID sensor.
Kuo also provides some information about the new 6.1- and 6.7-inch iPhone’s camera upgrades, according to Kuo these new iPhones will feature an upgraded wide-angle camera with an upgraded 48-megapixel sensor.
