Microsoft brings Voice Functionality to Outlook for iOS

Microsoft’s email app Outlook getting a cool update, Microsoft is adding the ability to search emails, write emails, and schedule meetings using your voice. This new Cortana-powered voice capabilities first available in the iOS Outlook app, and Android support is coming soon.

There will be a new plus sign that will let you use the voice mode. And you can ask things like “When is my next meeting?” or you can search for co-workers, files and calendar entities. You can even use this voice functionality to attach files fast, as Outlook uses Microsoft Graph to surface relevant documents.

Dictation was a big part of Word and Outlook n the desktop for a couple of years. Finally, now it’s coming to the mobile version of Outlook. Now you can use your voice to respond to messages, or you can even write emails using the speech-to-text functionality.
