Microsoft’s New $99 Xbox Headset Goes on sale March 16th

Finally, Microsoft is releasing a new Wireless Xbox Headset next month. Microsoft hasn’t made a wireless Xbox headset since the Xbox 360 days. It’s designed to connect with Xbox Series X/S and Xbox one. And it’s also working with PC and Mobile via Bluetooth.

The new wireless Xbox Headset design is completely new compared to the wired Xbox one Stereo and wired chat headset that are currently available. Microsoft also adds rotating ear cup dials similar to Surface Headphones to control volume and game audio/chat balance

New Xbox Wireless Headsets design to match with the New Xbox Series X and Series S Console designs. Its lightweight frame that has larger leather ear cups and an adjustable cushioned headband makes it comfortable to wear for a longer period of time. And it’ll also support Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone:X Spatial Sound Technologies 

Microsoft also improved the microphone quality of the new Xbox Wireless Headset and now it’ll also work better in third-party chats. And it has dual beamforming microphones and voice isolation to cut-out background noise. And it’ll allow you to connect to your phone and Xbox at the same time, allowing you to listen to audio or calls while you’re gaming.

The new Xbox Wireless Headset has a battery life of 15 hours, and a 30 minute charge over USB-C will give you 4 hours of battery life. It’ll take around 3 hours to fully charge.

Microsoft also updating its Xbox Accessories App to control the equalizer, bass boost, auto-mute sensitivity, mic monitoring, and brightness of the microphone mute light.

The New $99 Xbox Wireless Headset will available for sale from March 16th. And you can pre-order it now from the Microsoft Store and other retailers.
