Google has been promoting its upcoming flagship smartphones, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, for a while now. One of the biggest mysteries about these Pixel 6 phones was their price, because this is the first smartphone that Google included its own tensor processor. In addition, a recent report claims to have discovered the prices for Pixel 6 devices in Europe.
From the This is Tech Today YouTube Channel, M. Brandon Lee says that he got the information about the Pixel 6 and prices from an unnamed European carrier. According to Lee, they listed the Pixel prices with Google’s code names for the Pixel 6 (Oriole) and Pixel 6 Pro (Raven).
According to the listing, the standard Pixel 6 price will be 649 Euros ($758). For a flagship level device like the Pixel 6, that’s a very reasonable price. For a comparison, the Pixel 5 started at 629 Euros ($725) in Europe, which was a mid-range spec phone.
For the higher-end Pixel 6 Pro, the price will be much higher, according to Lee. Starting at 899 Euros ($1,050), the Pixel 6 Pro will start at 899 Euros. The Pixel 6 Pro will include some more “Pro” features compared to the standard Pixel 6, including a 120Hz curved display, 5G with UWB support, and an extra telephoto camera in the back.
Lee also said that, according to the previous rumors, the Pixel 6 smartphone series should be officially announced by Google on October 19th, with a launch date of October 28th. He also said that Google could name the Pixel 6 colors as “Carbon” for the black model and “Fog” for the green model.
