Samsung’s latest Galaxy Fold 2 device is improved that its old original Galaxy Fold. Fold 2 introduced the ultra-thin glass, a much larger cover display, and more improved hinge, and many more. The next galaxy fold device will get a smaller display and smaller battery compared to Fold 2. And it also probably releases in June alongside the new Z Flip launch. The Elec reports
The new Fold 3 will reportedly feature a 7.5-inch main foldable screen inside and a 6.2-inch cover display on the front. which would be pretty much the same as the Fold 2’s 7.6-inch main screen and 6.2-inch deck screen. According to The Elec, these screen sizes come with the added benefit of “zero bezels,” so Although the screens can be the same size, because of these new zero bezels new Fold 3 will look a bit smaller than the previous Fold 2.
And there’s also a rumor that the new Fold 3 will support S Pen. Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra also got this S Pen support feature earlier this year, adding a stylus to the Fold may face additional challenges if Samsung tries to include the stylus inside the phone like the Note series rather than using an additional case such as the Ultra. A hole for the stylus can be filled with extra battery capacity.
Compared to the 4,500 mAh battery in the Fold 2, the Fold 3 will supposedly get a slightly smaller 4,380 mAh battery. And it’s not that much smaller than the previous fold and might not affect the phone’s battery life as much.
