Spotify is adding an offline listening feature to Apple Watch

Spotify is finally adding an option to download playlist, albums, and podcasts to apple watch. Spotify announced this today via their website. So now you will be able to stream your music at 96kbps, delete content on your iPhone, and sync with your Apple Watch.

With the ability to download your favorite playlists, albums to you Apple watch, you don’t need to carry your phone to listen music you can just play them on your Apple Watch, this feature will come in handy when you are jogging or working out.

“Being able to download music and podcasts complements the existing feature of being able to stream your favorites from the watch, and now you don’t even have to take your phone with you,” Spotify said on its website

This new offline feature will be available from this Friday on Apple watch series 3 or newer models running WatchOS 6.0 or newer, Spotify recommends WatchOS 7.1 and newer versions to work best with this feature. And you also need to have a Spotify Premium account for this feature to work. and you also need to update your Spotify app on your iPhone to the latest version

Spotify Added an option to stream music on Apple watch back in November. Before that you can only use your Apple watch as a remote to control your Music on iPhone or another Spotify Connect-compatible device.

Spotify also announced that they are working on a new feature to allow Google’s Wear devices to download music play offline on the wear device. So, you don’t need to carry your phone to listen to your favorite music. This feature is not released yet, but it’ll arrive in the near future
