WhatsApp recently announced that they are going to introduce end-to-end voice and video calling features to their desktop version of WhatsApp. And it’ll support Windows 10 64bit version 1903 and newer or macOS 10.13 and newer.
Finally, popular messaging app WhatsApp releases voice call and video calling features to their desktop app. Now it’s finally available so if you are someone who sits in front of your computer and uses WhatsApp web so much then this news will make your day.
WhatsApp announced that they’re rolling out the voice and video call feature to their desktop app via a tweet and they also shared a link to download the desktop app.
The main missing feature is that the desktop app only supports one-to-one calls and you can’t make group calls in the desktop app. And WhatsApp also promises that they’ll bring the group calling feature on the near feature, although it hasn’t said when that will be available.
In order to use this feature, you have to set up WhatsApp on your PC or Mac, to set up WhatsApp on your PC or Mac you have to get WhatsApp on your phone, and then you have to scan the QR code that’ll show on the desktop app with your phone. Once you’ve done that you can use WhatsApp on your desktop and make WhatsApp calls on your desktop too.
