After the ROG has been released, most people tend to buy a ROG device instead of going for a typical Samsung, Huawei, or Apple flagship device. People who love the game are very interested in this device for what it offers. Let’s check out what’s the latest ROG 5 offers to the community.

Specs

Display

The ROG Phone has a 6.7-inch, 1080p screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate. The latter is a feature that allows the screen to refresh at 120Hz, which means your finger will be able to move on the screen faster than it could on most other phones. In practice, this makes games feel more responsive and smooth no matter what you’re playing.

The AMOLED display is bright and crisp. I’ve always been partial to OLED screens due to their wide viewing angles and vibrant colors. The panel’s 4K resolution looks crisp in everything from games like Dead Trigger 2 to Netflix shows like Stranger Things. The main downside of using an AMOLED panel for gaming is that it doesn’t get as dim as an LCD when you turn down the brightness but this isn’t really an issue unless you play in complete darkness often or want something super easy on your eyes while commuting during rush hour traffic.

The ROG Phone 5 has a 48MP main camera and a 16MP selfie camera. If you’re into photography, this should be more than enough for you to create professional-looking shots. Don’t expect the quality of the latest iPhone’s camera quality with this since this is focused on gaming mainly as the main activity.

The phone’s battery life is one of its best features. The battery life on the ROG Phone 5 is particularly impressive. The 4,000mAh capacity may not be as large as some other flagship phones, but it’s good enough for all-day use without needing to recharge during your commute or lunch break. This device also supports quick charging so you can fill up quickly if you need to get back into action quickly provided you have a compatible charger with you and don’t forget to plug it in when you do.

Design and audio

The Asus ROG Phone 5 has a great design and a powerful audio experience that makes it one of the best phones for gaming.

The ROG Phone 5 is sleek, with an attractive matte finish on the back that feels durable and smooth in your hand. The phone’s corners are slightly rounded off, which makes it comfortable to hold at all times and also easier to put into my jeans pocket (ahem).

It’s got a headphone jack along with stereo speakers tuned by Harmon Kardon. The Asus ROG Phone 5 features dual stereo speakers at the front which produce loud clear sound but lack bass output despite using the AudioWizard app from the Dolby Atmos library so you have to use headphones if you want a decent audio experience otherwise your ears will start hurting after 30 minutes of continuous listening because of lack bass output from these speakers

Performance

The phone packs a Snapdragon 855 processor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage. It also has two speakers at the front and it supports Wi-Fi 6 connectivity along with Bluetooth 5.0.

In terms of gaming performance, the GPU Turbo Boost mode improves frame rates by up to 70% while playing games like PUBG Mobile or Asphalt 9 Legends on high settings.
