Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Enplugged ("we", "us", "our"), operated at https://enplugged.com, collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website. By using this site, you agree to the practices described below.
We collect only what is necessary to operate the site and serve advertising. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
We only receive personal information you choose to send us — for example, your name and email address when you contact us via our contact page. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and do not add you to a mailing list without your explicit consent.
Information collected automatically
When you visit Enplugged, our servers and third-party services automatically record your IP address, browser type, device type, the page requested, the referring URL, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
2. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Enplugged uses cookies for three purposes:
- Analytics cookies — to measure traffic and understand which content is most useful (Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager).
- Advertising cookies — to serve relevant display ads through Google AdSense. These cookies may track browsing behaviour across websites to enable interest-based advertising.
- Preference cookies — to remember your display preferences (e.g. dark/light theme) between visits.
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling advertising cookies will not remove ads but will make them less relevant to your interests.
3. Google AdSense & display advertising
We display advertising through Google AdSense (publisher ID: ca-pub-6287160778244233). Google AdSense uses cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites across the internet.
Google's advertising technologies — including DoubleClick — allow Google and its partners to serve interest-based ads derived from your browsing history. We do not receive personally identifying information (such as your name or email) from Google as part of this advertising relationship.
To opt out of personalised advertising: visit Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out through the Network Advertising Initiative or the Digital Advertising Alliance. For more detail, see how Google uses data on partner sites.
4. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager to understand aggregate traffic — pages visited, session duration, traffic sources, and device types. Google Analytics uses cookies and assigns anonymous identifiers. We do not combine this data with personally identifying information.
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Third-party services
Third-party services we currently use:
- Google AdSense — display advertising (Google Privacy Policy)
- Google Analytics / Tag Manager — traffic analytics
- Google Fonts — typeface delivery (may log request IP)
Our articles contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to read their policies before providing personal information.
6. Children's privacy
Enplugged is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your rights — GDPR (EEA & UK)
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us via our contact page. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Your rights — CCPA (California)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. Submit rights requests via our contact page.
9. Data retention
Contact messages are retained only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry. Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Advertising data is managed by Google under their own retention policies.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable technical measures to protect data we hold. No internet transmission is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. Changes are reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
12. Contact
